 UPDATE: 7,885 Pairs of socks That's the number Piast Institute collected in a short span of time for Ukraine with all your help! To give an update on our packages, they should be arriving THIS Saturday (4/16/22) and will help so many men, women and children. The variety of socks was outstanding! Did you that socks are one of the most requested items at homeless shelters? We have been asked many times, why socks? The real answer is, why not? Refugees had traveled long distances for long periods of time without an opportunity to wash clothing and a fresh pair of socks could warm feet and hands. We cannot thank everyone enough for their support in making this effort such a huge success. Share with your friends and family!
Piast Institute is collecting new socks to be sent to Ukrainian refugees. Piast Institute recommends ALL sizes including children sizes. Drop your donation off at the office (Mon-Thurs from 10am - 3pm) or have socks shipped directly to: Piast Institute 11633 Joseph Campau, Hamtramck, MI 48212. DEADLINE for donations: Thurs. March 24th!! Donations will be shipped directly to Ukrainian refugees in Poland. Please note there is no staff available on the weekend to accept donations.
