Support Piast Institute's Campaign for Community Room

We need your support! The Piast Institute has long served as a gathering place for Polish Americans in the metro Detroit area — a center for education, culture, and community connection. As one of the few remaining Polish organizations in Hamtramck, we are deeply committed to preserving our heritage and supporting families, youth, and local partners.

To meet our community’s growing needs, the Piast Institute, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, is undertaking a much-needed renovation to create a modern, flexible, and welcoming space for public events, youth programs, and educational activities. Planned upgrades include new flooring, technology enhancements, lighting, much needed electrical upgrades, and furnishings that will make the room suitable for lectures, meetings, and cultural celebrations.

This project is about more than improving a space — it’s about building a home where Polish Americans and community partners, its Hamtramck Drug Free Community Coalition (HDFCC)
can come together to learn, connect, and celebrate. It has been used in various capacities by multiple organizations, groups, and events already.

We invite you to support this important initiative by contributing to our official campaign:

Together, we can create a vibrant space that serves our community today and preserves our Polish heritage for generations to come.
Support the Community Room Campaign Directly
The Piast Institute’s lifeblood is the support of the Polish American community. This support comes in spirit, action and, just as important, financial contributions.

We know you receive a plethora of requests for financial support every day, but we hope you realize this one is different. It comes from an organization that seeks to preserve and advance the life and culture of our people, in honor of our forefathers and in legacy to our children. Indeed, we are “Building a New Polonia for the 21st Century.”
